Two-day tour: On the footsteps of the queens of France


DAY 1


  • 10 am : Costumed guided tour of the Royal city of Amboise with Queen Anne de Bretagne

Queen of France since the age of 14, Anne de Bretagne will share her experience of the life at the court of the Renaissance kings. A tour rich in little stories offering a wider approach on the daily life at the end of the 15th century.

  • 12 pm : Picnic lunch in the park of the Clos Lucé

 

  • 2.00 pm : Costumed guided tour of the Clos Lucé with Mathurine, the maid of Leonardo Da Vinci

As his faithful maid and cook, Mathurine knows every little secret of Leonardo Da Vinci and takes you into his last home, telling you more about the life of this great genius. A door opened onto a part of our history.

  • Diner, night, breakfast and pic nic lunch in collective accomodation


DAY 2

  • 10.00 am : Guided tour and educational workshops at the Château of Chaumont-sur-Loire

Chaumont combines the massive shape of a fortress to harmonious Renaissance elements. Learn more about the meaning of several painted, carved or sculpted characters that give life to its walls.

Extra : Visit to the International Gardens Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire
