Cycling on the banks of the royal river
You may want to start with the renowned Loire à Vélo. This marked trail takes you across two regions and goes along the Loire River for 800km. From Amboise, ride west at sunrise following the river shores and keep your senses awaken: you may witness the early dive of a beaver or the impressive take-off of grey heron. Stroll within the shining wine slopes of the Montlouis vineyards and smell the sweet perfume of the chenin grapes. What if you stopped for a while and enjoy some tasting? If you prefer to go for a full-day ride, why don’t you pick one of the several loops winding between Loire and Cher? With 45km, the Royal loop offers a great change of scenery.
